Synopsis
[REFECTORY]
7.50 pm – LE FORME DEL DIVINO
with Michele Dantini, Giovanna Zucconi and Sergio Givone, moderated by Raffaele Palumbo. Readings by Marcello Sbigoli
Sacred images have been venerated by Christian and Orthodox communities for centuries. Cult images, of a dual nature, earthly and divine, bring man closer to God and at the same time can act on the events of earthly life. Their thaumaturgical and divine power, since the early modern age, has given rise to numerous reflections: just think of the writings of Erasmus or Calvin. Later, philosophers and writers, Dostoevsky, Heidegger, Simone Weil, Pasolini will also talk about the phenomenon of sacred images, explaining their metaphysical power.
9.00 pm – W LA FUGA
with Marco Pastonesi: texts, stories; Alessandro D’Alessandro: accordion, electronics
Cycling is the only sport where escaping is not an act of cowardice but of courage. You escape out of passion or desperation, to show off your jersey or to be seen by your wife, to get ahead of the climbers or to disappoint the sprinters, to greet your relatives or even to say goodbye to the race. Every escape has a story, its own history, a story to tell and play, to remember and sing, to pass on and interpret.
10.15 pm- MARIO PIROVANO / LU SANTO JULLARE FRANCESCO
based on text by Dario Fo and Franca Rame
“Lu Santo Jullàre Françesco” is a monologue in which a whole series of characters from medieval Italy come to life: Popes and Cardinals, soldiers on the battlefield, farmers and market vendors, monks and quarrymen. Historical reality and popular tradition intertwine in retracing some of the most significant moments in the life of Francis.

John Greaves: piano, bass, vocals; Mel Collins: sax, flute; Jakko Jakszyk: guitar, vocals; Annie Whitehead: trombone; Annie Barbazza: vocals, piano, guitar, Règïs Boulard: drums.
[PAZZI CHAPEL]
9:00 pm; 23.15 pm – SLIDERS
Filippo Vignato, Federico Pierantoni and Lorenzo Manfredini.
If in the tradition of classical music there is the brass quintet or the trombone quartet, here the three musicians wanted to go to the essence of that concept, transfiguring and adapting the customs of jazz sound and language.
